BBC Andino Express Line announces service from the Port of West Palm Beach to South America

BBC Chartering USA has announced a new service to Northern Columbia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile. Beginning in November 2009,  the Andino Express Line will begin offering a monthly sailing from the Port of West Palm Beach. This will mark the first time BBC has offered a liner service for shippers who use a Florida gateway.

Since its inception in 2005, BBC Andino Express Line has been offering breakbulk  and shipper-owned container services for shippers from Houston to the West Coast of South America. During this time BBC has steadily gained a reputation for reliable breakbulk and heavy lift services for the construction and mining industries. This new service will enhance BBC’s ability to service the South American marketplace and offer shippers a new alternative to current service providers by offering the call at the Port of West Palm Beach.
BBC has appointed Port Contractors,Inc as stevedores and port agents located at West Palm Beach. For more information on rate and schedules please contact BBC Chartering at toll free at 888-567-4433 or houston at bbc-liner.com

BBC Chartering Opens New Offices in Ecuador

Expanded presence in South America will offer enhanced services to clients and businesses in the Southern hemisphere.

BBC Chartering and Logistic, a recognized global leader in providing tailor-made flexible shipping solutions for both heavy lift and project cargoes announced this week that it has opened new service offices in Guayaquil and Quito, Ecuador under the leadership of Federico Ferber, General Manager.

These new offices and the services they provide reinforce BBC’s commitment to the South American trade lane and to our clients in this region that require the breakbulk and heavy-lift capabilities that are a unique strength of BBC’s fleet.

Other BBC offices in South America include Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Santiago de Chile, Chile; two offices in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Bogota, Columbia.

The two new offices will also service BBC’s Andino Express Line, which offers regular sailings to the west coast of South America. The Andino Express Line operates roundtrip sailings from the U.S. Gulf to Ecuador, Peru and Chile every 14 days, and monthly sailings to the west coast of South America from Europe and the Far East.

According to Svend Andersen, CEO of BBC Chartering, the new Ecuadorian office will enable the company to better serve the increasing demand for shipments and service in oil & gas, mining, wind generation, and other projects in this region. “Our clients will receive faster quotes and more efficient and cost effective service,” Andersen says. “Our experienced staff there understands the specific needs and logistic requirements of the local markets. Whether it’s breakbulk, heavy lift, project or general cargo, we provide the best solutions for our clients’ project shipping needs in a shorter time,” he added.

“BBC began a decade ago, as a small, reliable but specialized shipping company with high performance standards and a strong sense of stewardship for each job,” says Andersen. “As the company has grown we’ve become more widely known globally for our ability to deliver efficient solutions for complex challenges. We have the in-depth knowledge, vessels, and experience to handle all types of cargo with precision and care,” Andersen said.
About BBC Chartering – BBC was founded in 1997, with a fleet of ten vessels serving a small niche in the chartered shipping market. Today, with a fleet of more than 140 vessels, a global network of 24 offices, and an efficient structure staffed by more than 250 experienced and highly educated employees, the company has become a recognized global shipping leader offering diverse cargo delivery options ranging from the traditional tramp service to liner services with regular sailings, serving the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Power industries all over the world.

Launch of BBC Gulf Line

Click on map to download as pdf

The steadily growing demand for a regular breakbulk and project cargo service from the US Gulf to the Arabian Gulf has led us to expand our successful Liner program. We will begin offering 2 monthly sailings from the US Gulf ports in June.

Veracruz; Houston; Mobile // Damman; Doha; Dubai; Jebel Ali; Muscat; Shuwaikh

This new service to the Arabian Gulf is an excellent complement to our current lines in the US and South America. By combining the steady sailings of a liner service with the flexibility of our tramp fleet, we can better meet the needs of our customers.

The new line will have two regular sailings per month with the right tonnage to meet booking demands, from 5.000 to 20.000 DWAT and lifting capacity up to 500t. More than 140 vessels give us the flexibility to meet the special needs and additional requests of our customers.

Bookings and port operations are handled by BBC offices and partners who are close to the local markets and customers. All of this allows us to ensure proficient and reliable handling, even when the cargo is highly sensitive or just-in-time.

Over the last 10 years we have distinguished ourselves as a reliable partner in the industry. Our customers range from small companies to the largest global players, all over the world. No matter who they are, or where they are, they want the same: highest professionalism, reliability, efficiency and performance.
